A Christian Honduran Woman

Asks for Prayers for Honduras

Sunday, July 26, 2009

“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer” 1 Peter 3:12a

Hi everyone,

I hope this letter finds you well.  Thank you so much for your patience on our prayer requests. We trust God is the only one who can perform miracles and help our country. I just wanted to share with you some photos taken yesterday during one of the many pacific walks that take place all over the country; the purpose is to let the world know Hondurans want democracy — NOT communism. I pray and wish with all my heart that the world would know the truth, but I wake up every day just to hear CNN, other international media, and Zelaya lying, telling the world that there’s a civil war here, that many have died, that the army is oppressing people, or that “all” the people want the dictator back. Why would we want a leftist dictator back? Doesn’t even make sense!!!, I feel nauseated; all these statements are completely false.

The truth is: Only ONE person died since Zelaya was ousted even though his followers are quite violent.  We are living peacefully, our army’s behavior is very protective of peace and order, our war is psychological due to Chavez’s continuous threats that cause a lot of unrest ‘cause we know what he’s capable of; there is a relatively small amount of Zelaya’s followers (around 10,500 nationwide) who are being financed by Venezuela (so many of them are Nicaraguans/Venezuelans infiltrates) and they get all the international media attention to spread the lies, it’s beyond my understanding on why is the international media completely oblivious to the rest of us, the majority to be truthful (around 7,479,000 people).

I thank God for the good that’s come out of this situation: Love and unity are so palpable. I go out the streets and can talk to anyone like we are old friends., People’s thirst for God is so big.  Also, many Venezuelan people are encouraging us not to give up as they did.  It’s so touching they are always on our prayers and, finally, we are so blessed by all the love and prayers coming from outside Honduras.  Our hearts are thankful.

     PLEASE pray with us:

For the truth to finally come out, once and for all, so the world stops condemning Honduras without even knowing the facts or the other side of the story.

For us to take strength in God’s promises and our faith to be stronger.

For God to protect our territory from Chavez’s invasion and from Zelaya’s call to violence.

For Zelaya’s followers to open their eyes to the danger they are supporting.

For Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba, and others to be free from these oppressing dictatorships.

For all Hondurans to also be passionate about God, not only our country but to the One who deserves all of our love and devotion.

Thank you and God bless you,

   Waldina C.

Honduras Is Following Its Law and Constitution

Comments from Readers of the Wall Street Journal

Regarding your editorial "The Wages of Chávismo" (July 1): Please hear our cry. We are fighting for democracy in Honduras. The United Nations, the Organization of American States and other international institutions are condemning us, while they should be praising us. Our ex-President Manuel "Mel" Zelaya wants to change our constitution and perpetuate his time in power. His alliance with Hugo Chávez says it all.

Do not forsake us. There is hope in Honduras, and for the first time we feel our judicial system, military, human-rights interests, churches and businesses are all working for a better Honduras. Mr. Zelaya is manipulating the international opinion against our peaceful country.

I'm a U.S. and Honduran citizen and I'm appalled by President Barack Obama's position on the Honduran crisis. I voted for him in November expecting he would support democratic movements. I'm afraid to say he's not supported the interim government of President Roberto Micheletti as he should.

Former President Zelaya was a corrupt hegemonic president who ruled with an iron fist and was bent on breaking the law. America should be horrified that Mr. Zelaya  sought to modify the Honduran constitution by illegal means. President Obama's continued recognition of the Zelaya administration is embarrassing because it displays a lack of an understanding of what is really going on.

Honduras has always been a staunch ally of the U.S. At the moment that the country needed America the most, history will remember President Obama siding with dictators over democracy.

One must ask how bad can the Obama administration's judgment get? Ousted Honduran President Zelaya is a bad guy aligned with the Castro brothers and Hugo Chávez -- these people are not our friends, and never will be. All Americans should cheer the realignment in Honduras.

It is curious and disheartening that the Obama administration's first impulse was to support the leftist leader trying to overturn the constitution in Honduras. When the Honduran congress, attorney general, supreme court, military and a large segment of the population are against you, you have lost what Thomas Jefferson wrote was "the consent of the governed." Hasta la vista, el presidente.

HOW ONE HONDURAN CHRISTIAN WOMAN SEES
WHAT IS HAPPENING IN HONDURAS
To all our beautiful U.S.A. prayer supporters —
God bless you immensely!  Thank you for supporting us with prayers and for asking others to pray for us.  We can feel all your love.  It has been SO hard for us, especially yesterday (July 5th), with Nicaraguan troops threatening to attack our country, our dictator ex-president flying over Honduran territory, and the death of a fellow countryman.
I've never been so scared my entire life. But then I remembered, once again, how God delivered Israel when a vast army was attacking them and they did not know what to do about it (II Chronicles 20).  When I see the entire world community leaders condemning Honduras, I remember these verses, and regain strength on God’s promises, because our deliverance will come from God.
The way I see things:  I compare my beloved country to a raped girl, who in self defense kicks out the rapist.  Later on, the rapist denounces the woman for kicking him out of the house.  His best buddies, who are rapists as well, threaten to rape her again and at the same time ask the court of justice to defend their friend. The court of justice immediately asks the woman to accept this man into her house again or else she’ll be punished for her “violent actions”, which are kicking him out of the house in self defense. The suffering girl refuses and asks the court of “justice” to hear her out, to listen to her side of the story:  She’s scared of him and his friends (who have raped other girls before). But the court of “justice” refuses to do so and applauds the rapist with a standing ovation for his elaborate speech giving his side of the story. The girl’s friends decide to turn their backs on her, and the news stations make cruel mockery of her. Who will listen to her cry?
God will! He will come, heal her wounds, and defend her!
God will defend my beloved Honduras!
Please, keep praying for our situation, for unity between Honduran citizens, for all illegally-infiltrated Nicaraguans and Venezuelans who are causing riots and division, for our spirits to be lifted up and for the world to see the truth and hear us out: Communism, socialism, and Marxism are a menacing threat not only to our country but to every free country in the world.  It can trap those who are distracted and who turned their backs on God.
      Love, Waldina C.

Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!! For taking interest in defending our country!!  Sent this website to all contacts in Facebook!!  Need all the help we can get!

We are literally fighting against the World but believe strongly in our cause!!  Zelaya was leading us down the same path as Venezuela.  Hondurans do not like Chavez or his government.

Zelaya has ignored every single authority and thought he was above the Law!  Boy, did we prove him wrong!  I know the world is in shock by how it was done, but we had no way out, he cornered us!  I think they were merciful to send him to Costa Rica and not jail!!

Please pray for our country.  The economy is bad!  No one is investing because of the whole situation but people are determined to keep him out!  We really feel we would rather face the World than to have him here another day as president!!  Really!!

Of course, we are worried but firm in our fight for self-determination, peace, and democracy!

We pray God gives us the victory and may we go down in history as the little country who stopped Communism!

God bless you!

New Honduras Government Consolidating even after insidious Chavista Propaganda

Publicado por gerardoparedes en 30 Junio 2009

Today Thanks to GOD, UnoAmerica, (Unión de Organizaciones Democráticas de América) http://www.unoamerica.org/ stated its recognition of President Micheletti,  and today some of the foreign media started doing what they should do and gave reporting space to a big demonstration of people who were celebrating the liberation of Honduras against the Chavista Manuel Zelaya Rosales.  Still many of us feel in despair over how the foreign media and most international institutions gave support to Zelaya.  We have to remember than OAS Secretary General, Miguel Insulza, is on Chavez's payroll and that UN General Assembly President Miguel D’Escoto is a former Sandinista,  but we are feeling strong support from friends of democracy and from people who are against the Chavista revolution through America.

We have a saying here in a folkloric song, it says  ”No hay otro pueblo mas macho que el pueblo catracho del cual vengo yo”.  It means “There isn’t a country more macho than the country I come from." Honduras has never been a bastion of communism.  We were at the heart of the contra-revolution against Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua.  We are strong and we will win back the support from our distanced friend in a few weeks.

GOD Bless Honduras.

Zelaya’s Circus

Publicado por gerardoparedes en 29 Junio 2009

Manuel Zelaya Rosales is just repeating on foreign countries with the help of his teacher Hugo Chávez is mounting a mediatic circus akin to the mediatic empire he pretend to oppose. Its all a Chavista kind of showdown invoking GOD and pretending he is the victim when he was prepared and had drafted plans to disolve the congress on sunday night.

Please help the Honduran people, please mail or call your news channel and ask them to stop calling what happened here a Coup.  It was not a Coup, it was the will of the people, the rule of law, the upholding of a ruling from the Supreme Court of Justice and in trying to make things easier on the president instead of sending him to jail they gave him the option of sending him into exile because our constitution ask anyone who violated the article preventing running for re-election to stay 10 years out of the country in the same way that the Athenas constitution sent into exile leader who just have gotten too powerful.

“Mel” Manuel Zelaya Rosales alias the “Burrócrat” because of his lack of intellect and gaffe prone language, please stop your circus

Why is Barack Obama letting down a Democratic Government

Publicado por gerardoparedes en 29 Junio 2009

Can you believe it, Obama is so focused on repairing America’s image with the world that he is even ready to side with Chavez. I guest the new world of “Smart Power” policy from Washington looks like the barbarization of Rome, what will happen next, the rapture?

We in Honduras strongly believe that his declarations said something on the front and a deal is being made at the back, on which they will support the government of President Micheletti.

We will see the developments on this as the Chavista Ex-president heads to the UN to speak.

Honduras will not fall to Chavez

Publicado por gerardoparedes en 29 Junio 2009

The Honduran society as a whole is united.  The demonstrations today have had numbers running in the 200’s at most. Many paid Chavistas are directing these riots.

As I mentioned, the Supreme Court of Justice, the Congress and even ministers of the ex-president Zelaya are making these new unity government under President Micheletti.

Please everyone understand that all constitutional warranties are in place, the constitution has not been violated.

Nicaraguan Army prepare to Invade Honduras

Publicado por gerardoparedes en 28 Junio 2009

Fellow Hondurans, please beware because the forces of marxism leninism are back with a vengeance, they are going to try to tear apart our society. At this very moment, Hugo Chavez and Daniel Ortega are planning the take down on Honduras democracy.

Let’s pray for our military to remain strongly commited to our democracy.  If there is war, we should fight valiantly like General Florencio Xatruch did in the 1800’s against the filibuster William Walker.

To the marxists on our country, I remember them, they used to shout on the streets, “Gringos go home!”  How can they stand the idea of someone violating our freedom, now they should shout “Chavez go home”, our soberanity can’t fall in the paws of this madman?
